The strongest laboratory result becomes more meaningful when it is supported by years of field exposure.
What happens after the product leaves the laboratory?
Laboratory testing is essential because it establishes a controlled, repeatable benchmark. Hurricane history answers a different question: what happens after a product leaves the laboratory and spends years installed on real buildings in coastal environments where hurricanes actually occur?
But the million dollar question is: does the system work when I need it most? To answer that we need to go to real world experience — specifically, hurricanes that have made landfall where systems have been installed.
The storm history supplied by Hurricane Solution identifies 155 named storms between 2006 and 2026 in markets where the underlying hurricane-fabric systems were installed and protecting people or property. The record begins before Hurricane Solution's Mexico operations because it follows the broader system family and its installations across markets in the United States, Caribbean, Mexico, Hawaii, Guam, the Mariana Islands and the South Pacific.
That distinction is important. We do not claim that Hurricane Solution personally installed every system represented in this historical record. We do claim that the systems we represent have accumulated a much broader field history than the years and projects completed by our Mexico operation alone.

The history includes many of the most destructive tropical cyclones of the last two decades: Dean in the Yucatán and Caribbean in 2007; Paloma in the Cayman Islands and Ike across the Caribbean and Texas in 2008; Odile in Baja California Sur in 2014; Patricia on Mexico's Pacific coast in 2015; Matthew in 2016; Harvey, Irma and Maria in 2017; Michael and Super Typhoon Yutu in 2018; Dorian in 2019; Laura and Yasa in 2020; Ida in 2021; Ian and Roslyn in 2022; Mawar and Lidia in 2023; Beryl and Helene in 2024; and Category 5 Melissa in the Caribbean in 2025.
It also includes the storms that matter most to Hurricane Solution's current Mexican markets: Dean and Ernesto in the Yucatán; Rina, Franklin, Gamma, Delta and Grace in Quintana Roo; Odile, Newton, Lidia, Norma, Kay and other systems affecting Baja California Sur; Jova, Patricia, Willa, Nora, Roslyn and Lidia on the Pacific coast; and Beryl's 2024 passage through the Caribbean and Yucatán.
Zero failures in correctly executed installations.
Hurricane Solution reports zero failures in correctly executed installations. We use that statement carefully. A successful installation means the complete system was installed according to its intended configuration, anchored into a suitable substrate and deployed correctly. Damage caused by the failure of the underlying structure, or by a system that was modified or installed outside the approved method, is not the same as failure of the hurricane-protection assembly itself.
That is one reason our field records matter. A post-storm review should distinguish between the protection system, the substrate carrying it and the rest of the building. It should also record whether the screen was deployed, whether the attachment points remained functional and whether any repair or replacement was required before the next event.

Laboratory results are not the final measure.
Laboratory testing is important because it tells us what a system was capable of doing under controlled conditions. Hurricane Solution has invested heavily in that side of the equation, and the systems we represent have been subjected to some of the most demanding testing and certification requirements in the industry.
But laboratory results are not the final measure of hurricane protection. The final measure is what happens when the system is installed on a real building and a real hurricane arrives. That is the reason this storm history matters.
The systems represented by Hurricane Solution have been exposed to named storms across Mexico, the Caribbean, the United States, Bermuda, Hawaii, Guam and other severe-weather markets. That history includes tropical storms, major hurricanes and multiple Category 4 and Category 5 events — storms such as Dean, Patricia, Irma, Maria, Michael, Dorian, Laura, Ida, Ian, Beryl and others that tested buildings under conditions no laboratory can reproduce in exactly the same way.
A real hurricane does not deliver one controlled impact at a predetermined angle. Wind changes direction. Pressure rises and falls. Debris varies in size and velocity. Buildings have different heights, orientations and structural conditions. The storm can continue for hours… even days. That is where a protection system proves whether all of its engineering actually works together.
When Hurricane Solution's represented systems have been correctly engineered, correctly installed and properly deployed, they have maintained a 100% success rate through the storms in which they have been called upon to protect properties.
That is the standard we care about most. The certifications, Level E testing, impact results, pressure testing, high-strength fabrics and flexible anchoring system all matter because they help explain why the system performs the way it does. They give engineers and clients a way to understand the design margin built into the product before the hurricane arrives.
But the real-world record tells us whether that engineering translated into performance. And it has.
This is why Hurricane Solution places so much importance on its hurricane history. The systems were not designed simply to pass a laboratory test, receive a certificate and look impressive on a technical sheet. They were designed to protect openings when conditions become violent, unpredictable and sustained.
- The higher testing standards matter because they create margin.
- The flexible anchoring system matters because it helps the complete assembly absorb and redistribute load.
- The strength of the fabric matters because the material must continue carrying those forces.
- The installation matters because every one of those loads eventually has to be transferred into the building.
But all of those elements lead to the same final question: did the system protect the property when the hurricane arrived? Across the storm history documented here, correctly installed Hurricane Solution systems have done exactly that. That is not a laboratory prediction. It is a real-world performance record.
